Where are you gonna be this Saturday night? Why of course at PAX vibin and getting down to Ketchy Shuby‘s own brand of Soul, “Downtown Soul” that is!
Ketchy Shuby is an 8 piece collective from Miami, who got their name from a Peter Tosh song by the same name. These guys play their own genre of music entitled “Downtown Soul” which consists of Psychedelic, Soul, Afrobeat, Blues, Jazz & Reggae.”Music for our city” as they would call it. The band is fronted by the energetic & eclectic Jason Joshua Hernandez-Rodriguez & Robert “Dc Smiles” Smiley and, never too far away, the other Ketchy Shubbies are:
-Bassist/Vocalist Mack H Moore: Keeping your chest pounding with unheard of bass lines
-Percussionist/Vocalist Danny “Quinto” Naval: Channeling Fania Legends Ray Barretto & Mongo Santamaria in every performance
-Organist/Vocalist, Charles “Chip” Gardner: The man with a finger for every key
-The First “Shubette”, Geneva Harrison: Taking on the Vibraphone, Percussion and Vocals
–Matt Pyatt: The newest edition to the rhythm section
-Drummer, Sandor Davidson: The heart and beat of the band
Catch Ketchy Shuby as they show you how to get down the way only Miami knows how to do it.
