Happy Friday! Today we bring you something we wouldn’t cover, but it’s way too good to ignore. We’re talking about Gloria Estefan‘s new hit “Wepa“! Now, Gloria Estefan doesn’t need much introduction, most of us know who she is, but something worth mentioning is the fact that she is one of the most versatile artists in music today. She can sing from the most romantic ballad and sentimental bolero to the hottest dance track, in both English and Spanish. On her new album “Miss Little Havana“, Estefan took a bet on Tropical Bass (or at least what we would like to denominate as Tropical Bass) and made it her own! These tropical rhythms are slowly, but surely becoming the new sensation in the mainstream music arena; “Wepa” is the proof. Some people may think this is bad news for a genre that has been very exclusive and very underground, but it has made its way to the surface with it’s contagious rhythms that can throw even the stiffest mummy onto the dance floor. So dash off to your favorite club tonight and ask the DJ to put on some of that Tropical Bass. If they don’t have any, just school them on what it is and we’re pretty sure they’ll be more than willing to play it, no doubt about it. ¡Pulso y Pa’ Lante!
