De Santo Domingo, presentamos a “El Metro,” banda Pop que fusiona varios géneros, desde Rock hasta R&B, creando una interesante mezcla sonora. La banda quisqueyana está compuesta por Ambiorix Martínez y JenMarie Bordas, ex-corista de Calor Urbano.  We are pleased to announce the official single and video release of “A Deriva” from Minimal‘s forthcoming album “Antibalas Corazon.” The single will be available on all U.S. digital music stores on Thursday February 9, 2012 and the release party will take place at PAX, one of Miami‘s most delightful live venues on that same date. The event will feature a full live performance by Minimal as well as a presentation of the video for “A Deriva,” directed by Venezuelan director Pablo Erminy. “A Deriva” was produced by Minimal and mixed by multiple Grammy Award winner Sebastian Krys.

With an eclectic and versatile mix of sounds, Minimal defines what is powerful and relevant about Latin-Alternative music being made in the United States today; call it indie rock, call it alternative, call it brilliant. Minimal’s music flirts with the electronic, incorporates English and Spanish lyrics, and is pumped with a healthy dose of tropical energy. “Antibalas Corazon” is Minimal’s third studio production and showcases the band’s dynamic and sensual sound. “A Deriva” incorporates fast paced tempos and a wide variety of textures by using synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, and traditional indie-rock elements that further characterize Minimal’s sonic image.

The “A Deriva” single and video release show will count with the presence of other local artists who will join Minimal onstage. The guest lineup includes musicians from other Miami Alternative bands such as Soniko, Dear Darling and Arboles Libres.  The event will take place at PAX – considered “Miami’s Newest, Coolest Music and Arts Venue” by the Sun Post Weekly. Tras regresar de su gira por la costa norte de Colombia, donde estableció un fuerte vínculo con la escena de cantautores de la región, Gatiyo anticipa con “Lo Máximo” su próximo trabajo: Fucsia, a lanzarse en mayo de 2012 bajo la producción del reconocido tornamesista y productor DJ Pho. Entre los teclados western, las guitarras acústicas y los arreglos de viento, escuchamos un sonido que bebe por partes iguales de influencias clásicas como la de los Beatles y de sonidos contemporáneos como el de Miranda, Babasónicos, Arcade Fire y el pop indie en general.
