Hip-Hop’s worldwide demand has increased over the years with the help of social networks and media. Finding hip-hop lovers all over the world has helped other countries develop their own take on this urban movement. BOA is a record label based out of Spain that has been producing and promoting national hip-hop artists since 1993. They do everything from the recording and the mixing to the marketing and distribution of their artist’s music. Their fanbase is mainly from Spain and Latin America, and now they’re aiming for the states.
BOA also created the biggest annual Hip Hop festival in Spain, Cultura Urbana, with the participation of the label’s artists, DJ’s and breakers; where you can also admire Urban Art from some of the most talented artists from all over the world.
Some of the artists under this label are SFDK, Siempre Fuertes De Konciencia, formed by Zatu (MC) and Acción Sánchez (DJ). Hip-hop band, Violadores del Verso, formed by Hate (Sho Hai, MC), Kase-O (Javat, MC), Lírico (MC), y R de Rumba (DJ and producer) who won best Spanish Artist at the MTV EMA’S in the year 2007.
