DJ Sabo heats up Tropicalismo #5 this Thursday Jan 20th in Philly!

We’re bringing you the heat early this year, starting 2011 off with a bang featuring none other than local child, producer/DJ SABO at Philly‘s own, Tropicalismo. The only night in the city full of dembows mashed up with folk tunes, moombahton, crunked out cumbia, dancehall mania en español, coupé décale colliding with hip-hop, Carnival mass hysteria, kuduro avec grande vitesse, soca-fied funky house.

SABO, born and raised right outside of Philadelphia and residing in NYC, has been helping dancers tear up the dance floors globally for the past 14 years with his signature sound of “funky music to make you feel good” Rockin’ parties like Turntables on the Hudson, NYC and the Do-Over party in LA. He’s graced us with his presence at Rob Paine’s Shakedown party and he just returned from a European tour with some crazy tunes that he’s ready to share with you. Why is it that Philly DJ’s always do it so right?

And don’t you forget resident Juanderful Juan always bringing you the tropical heat! Never letting the crowd down with his original mesh of world rhythms with a funky and sexy twist to them.

Looks like the influence of tropical sounds in Philly is not playing catch up anymore.  DJ/artists are starting to take notice and making it a point to make a stop in Philly. This week alone there are three DJ’s in the tropical bass arena, Munchi being one of the DJ’s featured at the Mad Decent Monday party with his moombahton madness. SABO and Munchi played together last week for their much hyped event in DC, Moombahton Massive II (another free download!). Now get ready for SABO to bring his solo moombahton mechanics to the stage.

Get ready to sweat at Tropicalismo #5 at the Walnut Room!!
