Accordionist Álvaro Del Norte began recruiting musicians for a new musical project he had in mind at a Skate Shop in San Antonio, Texas. He just happened to be in the right place… he wasn’t looking for folkloric Tejano or norteño musicians; he was looking for punk rockers! He found what he was looking for and founded Piñata Protest, consisting of drummer J.J. Martínez, twin brothers Marcus and Matt Cazares, playing bass and guitar respectively, and himself playing the accordion and vocals. This energetic “norteño punk” quartet sings about life with raw sincerity, writing about their firsthand experiences and shouting about the ideals they believe in. Be sure to check out their album “Plethora”, released by Saustex Media by clicking here: http://bit.ly/gmCKCt.
